A creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip topped with a sour cream spider web design, perfect for Halloween parties or any fall gathering.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • ⅓ cup buffalo hot sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 23 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Soften cream cheese if needed.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo hot sauce. Beat with a hand mixer until smooth.
  3. Fold in shredded chicken, ¾ cup cheddar cheese, and ¼ cup Monterey Jack cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased 9-inch pie dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle remaining ¼ cup cheddar and ¼ cup Monterey Jack cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until hot and bubbly. Optionally broil 1-2 minutes for golden top.
  7. While dip bakes, stir sour cream until smooth. Transfer to a piping bag or zip-top bag with a small corner snipped off.
  8. Remove dip from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Pipe concentric circles of sour cream on top, starting from center. Drag a toothpick from center outward through circles to create web pattern. Wipe toothpick clean between each drag.
  10. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

Let dip rest 5 minutes before adding sour cream web to prevent melting. Use full-fat sour cream for best web definition. Shred cheese from a block for smoother melting.
