A vibrant and refreshing fruit salad featuring red, white, and blue fruits tossed in a tangy honey lime dressing. Perfect for celebrations and quick summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Red grapes, halved
  • Raspberries, washed gently
  • Peeled and diced pears or crisp apples (like Honeycrisp)
  • Blueberries, fresh and plump
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons honey (local or wildflower preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated lime zest
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: splash of orange juice
  • Optional: a few chopped fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Rinse all fruit under cold water. Hull and slice the strawberries into halves or quarters depending on size. Halve the grapes and pat dry. Gently dry the blueberries and raspberries on paper towels to avoid sogginess.
  2. Peel and dice the pears or apples into bite-sized chunks, tossing them in a teaspoon of lime juice to prevent browning if not dressing immediately.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice, 3 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of lime zest, and a tiny pinch of salt. Add a splash of orange juice or a few finely chopped mint leaves if desired. Whisk until honey dissolves and the dressing is smooth.
  4. Transfer all the prepped fruit into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the honey lime dressing evenly over the fruit.
  5. Using a spatula or large spoon, gently toss the fruit until every piece is lightly coated, being careful not to mash the berries.
  6. Let the salad sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve chilled.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe but firm fruit to avoid mushiness. Gently dry berries before mixing to prevent sogginess. Adjust honey and lime juice to balance sweetness and tang. Chill salad for at least 15 minutes before serving to enhance flavors. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
