Festive Star-Spangled Oreo Bark - featured image

A simple, colorful, and festive Oreo bark featuring white chocolate, crunchy Oreo chunks, and patriotic red, white, and blue sprinkles. Perfect for quick celebrations and casual snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 regular Oreos, roughly chopped
  • 12 ounces (340 grams) white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles (star-shaped, round nonpareils, and jimmies)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper for lining the baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Roughly chop the Oreos into chunks about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in size. Set aside.
  3. Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until fully melted and smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler over simmering water, stirring constantly.
  4. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt to the melted chocolate.
  5. Fold about half of the chopped Oreos into the melted white chocolate, stirring gently to coat.
  6. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly into a roughly 9×12-inch rectangle.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining Oreo chunks evenly over the bark, then scatter the red, white, and blue sprinkles generously on top. Press lightly so they stick but don’t embed too deep.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until the bark is completely set and firm to the touch.
  9. Remove from the fridge and break the bark into irregular shards.
  10. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.

Notes

Melt white chocolate gently to avoid seizing. Roughly chop Oreos for texture contrast. Add sprinkles immediately after spreading chocolate to ensure they stick. Chill thoroughly for best results. Store in airtight container; refrigerate in warm climates.
