Ingredients

  • Red Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) strawberry or cherry-flavored gelatin
  • Red Layer: 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • Red Layer: 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold water
  • White Creamy Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) unflavored gelatin powder
  • White Creamy Layer: 1/2 cup (120 ml) boiling water
  • White Creamy Layer: 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold water
  • White Creamy Layer: 1 cup (240 ml) sweetened condensed milk
  • White Creamy Layer: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Blue Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) blue raspberry or berry-flavored gelatin
  • Blue Layer: 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • Blue Layer: 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red layer: Dissolve the strawberry gelatin powder in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved. Add 1/2 cup cold water and mix well. Pour into shot cups filling about one-third full (approximately 1 oz or 30 ml). Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes until firm but not fully set.
  2. Make the white creamy layer: Dissolve unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water. Stir until clear and smooth. Add 1/2 cup cold water, then stir in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until combined. Once the red layer is firm, gently pour the white mixture over it, filling up to about two-thirds of the cup. Chill for 45 minutes until set.
  3. Prepare the blue layer: Dissolve blue gelatin powder in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Add 1/2 cup cold water and mix well. After the white layer has set, carefully pour the blue gelatin on top, filling each cup to the brim. Chill for at least 2 hours until fully firm.
  4. Serve chilled straight from the refrigerator. Use a small spoon or toothpick if served in cups, or pop out if using silicone molds.

Notes

Pour layers slowly over the back of a spoon to avoid breaking the layer below. Chill each layer until firm but not fully hard before adding the next to prevent color bleeding. Use room temperature condensed milk for better mixing. For dairy-free options, substitute sweetened condensed milk with canned coconut milk mixed with maple syrup or almond milk-based condensed milk alternatives. Layers can be prepared up to two days in advance and stored refrigerated in an airtight container. Avoid freezing as gelatin texture changes.
