A simple and festive chocolate bark made with melted chocolate chips, crunchy nuts, and colorful Cadbury eggs. Perfect for quick holiday treats or last-minute desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340 g) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (about 150 g) Cadbury Mini Eggs
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Prep your workspace and ingredients: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Chop nuts if not pre-chopped. Measure chocolate chips and set Cadbury eggs aside.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium power for 30 seconds, stir, then continue microwaving in 20-second intervals until smooth. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler on low heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Mix in the nuts: Fold chopped nuts into the melted chocolate, stirring gently to distribute evenly.
  4. Spread the mixture: Pour the chocolate and nut mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread evenly to about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thickness.
  5. Add the Cadbury eggs: Press the Cadbury eggs gently into the chocolate surface, spacing evenly without pressing too hard.
  6. Chill and set: Place the baking sheet in the fridge for 20-30 minutes until the bark is firm and snaps easily.
  7. Break into pieces and serve: Lift the bark from the sheet and break into rustic pieces. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

Use room temperature chocolate chips for even melting. Microwave in short bursts to avoid burning. Press Cadbury eggs gently to avoid cracking. Chill fully before breaking for best texture. Add a teaspoon of coconut or vegetable oil if chocolate seizes. Can substitute nuts with toasted coconut flakes or cereal for nut-free version.
