  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes
  • Optional spices: smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cut 6 corn tortillas into 6 or 8 even triangles using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  2. Place the tortilla triangles in a large bowl. Lightly brush or spray them with 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive or avocado oil. Toss gently to coat evenly but don’t soak them.
  3. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of sea salt flakes over the chips and toss again. Add optional spices if desired and mix well.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
  5. Lay the tortilla triangles in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overlap. Cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Watch closely from 5 minutes to avoid burning.
  7. Transfer chips to a wire rack or plate to cool and crisp up further.
  8. Repeat with remaining chips.
  9. Serve with salsa, guacamole, or your favorite dip.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer for even cooking. Use a single layer of chips to avoid sogginess. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even crisping. Adjust seasoning to taste. Chips can be reheated in the air fryer to refresh crispiness.
