These no-bake football-shaped Oreo truffles combine crushed Oreos with cream cheese and are dipped in chocolate for a quick, festive game day treat that’s creamy, crunchy, and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 regular Oreo cookies (about 1 package)
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 12 ounces (340 grams) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate or candy melts (for decorating football laces)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable or coconut oil (optional, to thin chocolate for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place 36 Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form but not powdery (about 20-30 seconds). Alternatively, crush Oreos in a sealed plastic bag with a rolling pin until fine crumbs form. Time: 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in Cream Cheese: Transfer Oreo crumbs to a large mixing bowl. Add 8 ounces softened cream cheese and mix thoroughly until a uniform dough forms, moist but firm enough to hold shape. Time: 5 minutes.
  3. Form Football Shapes: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll into oval football shapes. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up. Time: 10 minutes plus chilling.
  4. Melt the Chocolate: Melt 12 ounces of chocolate chips or wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between until smooth. Add 1 tablespoon vegetable or coconut oil if needed to thin chocolate for dipping. Time: 5 minutes.
  5. Dip the Truffles: Submerge each chilled truffle in melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool, coating fully. Lift and tap gently to remove excess chocolate. Place back on parchment paper and allow chocolate to set slightly before decorating. Time: 15 minutes.
  6. Decorate with White Chocolate: Melt 1/4 cup white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Transfer to a piping bag or zip-top bag, snip a tiny tip, and pipe football laces onto each truffle. Let sit at room temperature or chill briefly until set. Time: 15 minutes.

Notes

Soften cream cheese to room temperature for best mixing. Chill truffles before dipping to help chocolate coat smoothly. Warm chocolate gently if it thickens. Use a fork or dipping tool to tap off excess chocolate to avoid thick layers. Bring truffles to room temperature before serving to enhance flavor.
